On Thursday, February 4, 2016, we had the honor of having Curt Tryggestad, the Superintendent of Eden Prairie Schools; speak to the Noon Rotary about what is happening at the Eden Prairie Schools.  He started off by telling us about achievements that have happened so far in the 2015-2016 school year. There were 3 perfect ACT Scores, 16 National Merit Semifinalists, and many more student accomplishments.  After, he talked about a survey that Eden Prairie Schools send out and the results.  92% of parents think EP Schools are do good/excellent work and 93% think that we are headed in the right direction. Curt finished his presentation by talking about where we are headed and how to move forward.  He said that there will be a slight decline in enrollment because EP is growing up, but there is an increase in race/ethnicity and economics, which is a great sign for the future.  Now, they are thinking about how they are moving forward by having two phases, phase one is the academic design, and phase two is the facility design.  Curt’s presentation was very interesting and The Noon Rotary was lucky to have Curt speak about Eden Prairie Schools.
