Have you ever heard of the Sea Wing Disaster? The Sea Wing Disaster is the least known but biggest river accident in Minnesota. Ninety-eight people were killed in this terrifying accident. It's hard to believe that so many people died on one boat and yet the story was almost lost in history.

Luckily, author Frederick Johnson put many years into researching this disaster. Once he got all the information, he wanted to share this story with Minnesotans. He ended up writing a book that captures all of the detail (much of it pretty gruesome) of this fascinating story. He highlighted key aspects of the event last week during our meeting. It was a horrifying story but it was one worth telling.
