Eden Prairie Noon Rotary is once again sponsoring a recycling drive. The funds from this event will be contributed to the PolioPlus campaign. The drive has been expanded to include not only scrap metal but also electronics. Items can be dropped off at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way in Eden Prairie on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The scrap metal drive will accept products made with steel, stainless steel, brass  copper, aluminum and lead. Those products include wire, radiators, wire electric motors, appliances, aluminum cans and more. For more details on scrap metal items you can donate, visit http://www.expressmetals.net/whatwebuy.html

The electronics drive will accept electronic items including computers, printers, batteries, cell phones, and more; almost any electronic item with a cord, battery or cable qualifies. We will also accept CRTs, TVs and monitors but for those donations, there will be charged a nominal fee from $15-45 for each item because of the increased processing cost. For more details on electronics items you can donate, visit http://www.techdump.org/eprotary.

Even if you have nothing to donate, please stop by, say hi and have a cup of coffee on us. You can also buy a cupcake from Kakes by Krista, a  yummy bakery business run by our marketing intern, Krista Kronlokken.  All proceeds from the sale of cupcakes will also go to the PolioPlus campaign.

You can also contribute directly if you want.  Our members will be happy to take your contribution during the Recycling Drive or your can visit the PolioPlus webpage on Rotary.org to contribute directly to the cause.

We only have three countries left to reach our goal of eliminating polio forever from the face of the earth. Help us by making a contribution of metal or money. Thank you for your donations and for your support.
