2016 Fundraiser Planning Meeting & Rotary Foundation

Last week on Thursday, September 24^th, we had a Business meeting to discuss the details and marketing for the 2016 fundraisers. The Rib Fest is scheduled for June 12^th. Anyone with ideas on how to market this event or details to improve next year’s event contact Mark Beyer who is in charge of the planning this year. The Pong Fest is scheduled for January 30^th and we need volunteers to take charge of planning the details. Larry Kurzeka is the coordinator for Pong Fest.

 

            Also at the meeting we learned more about the Rotary Foundation. The purpose of the Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance goodwill and provide services throughout the world. It is crucial that members support the foundation so it is able to sustain its mission. The Paul Harris Society is for members who pledge to contribute $1000 per year to the annual fund. Tom Herzog is the foundation chair for this Rotary year.
