Regular Club Meeting - Speaker Gabriela Selinger

Mrs. Gabriela Selinger was invited to our Club a year ago, to present SKP HOPO, Azylový dům, a shelter for displaced families. As the fundraising director of this organization, on this occasion, she will introduce to us their project for the single mothers´shelter in emergency situations.

Founded in 1999, SKP HOPO has provided temporary housing for around 3000 people. The shelter provides services to a broad target group, including parents and their children, single mothers and single fathers with children and families. Their goal is to arrange for temporary accommodation and provide support and services aimed at finding a solution resulting from difficult social situations including the loss of a home. Residents stay in the three main buildings of their facility for up to a year, with more than 80 parents and children in residence at any one time.
