In the spring of 2016 the Rotary Club of Bangor will sponsor Music Off Broadway, its annual major fundraiser.  A portion of the proceeds from Music Off Broadway will benefit local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving greater Bangor-Brewer.

Preference will go to programs that build leadership skills, promote community service and/or engage volunteers. Funds may not be used for general operating support or for programs taking place prior to June 30, 2016 (grants will be awarded in June 2016).

Over the most recent five-year period, the Rotary Club has awarded grants to 23 nonprofits. The average grant during that period was $3,771.

As a requirement of a grant award, recipients agree to publicize the 2016 production of Music Off Broadway and will promote ticket sales, coordinating publicity and sales activities with the Rotary Publicity Co-Chair.

Organizations selected to receive funding will also file a brief completion report describing how the grant was used and will be asked to make a presentation to the Rotary Club.

Nonprofits may resubmit applications that were not funded by the Rotary Club of Bangor in previous years. Nonprofits that received a grant from the Rotary Club of Bangor in 2015 are required to wait one year before applying for another grant (eligible to apply in 2016).
