Three area Rotary Clubs --  The Rotary Club of Bangor, Bangor Area Rotary Club and Old Town Rotary Club --  are joining forces to host a Purple Pinkie Project in recognition of World Polio Day on October 24th. The celebration takes place during the week of October 19th -- 24th with activities that are intended to raise awareness of Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate polio worldwide and to raise money -- $1 at a time –toward this global effort.

In the spring of 2016 the Rotary Club of Bangor will sponsor Music Off Broadway, its annual major fundraiser.  A portion of the proceeds from Music Off Broadway will benefit local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving greater Bangor-Brewer.
The Rotary Club of Bangor awarded donations to three area non-profit organizations.
Congratulations to Joe Pickering, long-time Rotarian and member of the Club's Music Off Broadway planning committee.
The Rotary Club of Bangor welcomed five area young people to its weekly lunch meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 to formally award scholarships funded by the Club.
The Rotary Club of Bangor has announced that fundraising efforts for their recent production Music Off Broadway have surpassed all previous productions, bringing in more than $37,000.

After 25 years of hard work, Rotary and its partners are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease, but a strong push is needed now to root it out once and for all. It is a window of opportunity of historic proportions.
