Rotary is lauded as a vocationally based organization.  It isn't so often
that we consider that aspect of our service volunteering.  Youth, community,
and international service are the highlights reported at each meeting.   For
many months now our President John Wall has been striving behind the scenes
at his workplace, Australia Post.  He knew of a sales campaign that had
completed and excess stock needing a useful home.   After some tireless
negotiation it arrived today at Rotary Donations in Kind.  13 pallets and
$73,000 in value of goods.   What a gift realized for all sorts of projects.
Some for "The Alfred MHU", some for "Merchant Sailors stuck at sea" and
plenty for other projects.   John, another practical way you demonstrate
commitment in "doing good in the world".  Thank you, and congratulations on
2 years leading our Club as a President who has led by great example.
Bronwyn .
