NEWGEN
Kiel Egging

NewGen has had a challenging but still successful year, and Ash and I were glad to join you all for a great feed and good times at Friday's changeover. Congrats to Col on his year as president in difficult circumstances, and good luck to Ben for his year ahead.

I will be sending out our annual report covering all our achievements in 2020-21 hopefully in the next week or so.

But to finish off the year with some good news, we can reveal that Parmas For Polio raised $1274 on the night, and has been transformed into more than $4400 for the End Polio Now cause.

The boys and I are also looking at making a small donation to Rotary's relief fund for the Dandenong Ranges storms earlier this month.

As mentioned at changeover on Friday night, following a few recent member departures, including our President-Elect Naomi, the four of us have decided to take a step back and put NewGen into hibernation for six months. We are transferring from being an 'active satellite club' into a 'social brunches club' with occasional other activities.

Perry, Ash, Steve and I will remain members of RC Nunawading, and continue to catch up on a social basis fortnightly on Sundays from 10am at Rise&Grind 3133. Please feel free to join us at any time, our first catch-up will be from 10am on July 4.

We will also attempt to attend RC Nunawading meetings, activities and events when possible. We will reassess our situation in December and then make a decision on the club's direction for the remainder of the Rotary year.

Thankyou again to all of you for continuing to support us both this year, and into the future.
