What’s coming up ?

This Wednesday night it’s a celebration of all the work that is behind the Art Show success. Anyone involved with the Art Show is invited, volunteers, friends, and sponsors. There will be minimal Rotary business. And there will be a quick summary of the Art Show successes.  It’s at the Mornington Brewery at 72 Watts Road at 6pm. So come along and acknowledge or be acknowledged for the efforts of the last 2 weeks ....

The following week, Feb  the 5th, it’s our first meeting for the year at The Mornington Hotel, with a guest speaker.

The following week, the 12th, we will have a Youth Speaker night including our recently returned Youth Program participant, Freya,  speaking of her experience in Denmark, and Hannah telling us of her RLYA week. .

Our next Bunnings BBQ is on Friday Feb 14 and our newest Paul Harris Fellow, David L, is running it. Volunteer with him now. (And for those who are wondering  why we have not had any car parking at the Briars this year - it was because the events did not go ahead).

On the 19th is a Board Meeting that will firm up some recommendations on what projects we should pursue and where our funds should be invested this year for our members to resolve at our full meeting on February 26.

In March we start with a great feature speaker, one of Australia’s top rated Financial Advisers, Paul Nicol. For anyone interested in superannuation or investment this will be a great night. The next week we have Kristy Kendall, Principal of Toorak College and then the week after that a full report on the Art Show.

It’s not too late to register for the District Conference in Bendigo on March 21-22. Several members are already registered. If you have even a little bit of interest - talk to Victor.

In April there is likely to be a Cluster event involving all the Peninsula Clubs, to raise further funds for Bushfire Relief. The Cluster clubs are working on this and it is likely to be Wed April 15.

So that’s what is coming up...more details of which are available from the links on the RHS of our website or LHS of this Bulletin.
