Vocational Service Award 2014

The Vocational Service Award is presented annually to a business or business individual whose business ethics and standards of practice best typify the Rotary Four-Way Test and “Service Above Self.”  The 2014 recipient is Moms on Main and its owners Steve and Krys Murray of Aubrey, Texas.

MOMS weekly supports area Food Banks and Neighbor in Need. Annually they host and sponsor a Car Show during Labor Day weekend which has benefited the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 920 of Denton TX, and their Green Valley School Project for the past three years.  The Murray’s also host the annual event Moms on Main Annual Bike Rally in September. This event fund to gift bikes to deserving kids in community schools.   MOMS works directly with Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), and Spokes for Hope to raise awareness on child abuse and for the Denton County Children's Advocacy Center.

On their website, the Murrays state, “We aren’t just a business; we’re dedicated to the  community. That is why we never miss an opportunity to give back. We truly believe that we can make a difference and are more than happy to help however needed.”
