RCFC's Board of Directors has voted to cancel public club meetings until further notice. This of course applies to Wednesday noon meetings at the Drake Centre, at least for the next two weeks: i.e. 3/18/20 and 3/25/20. We should be prepared for public meetings of our Rotary Club to remain canceled well into the near future, perhaps for many weeks. The planning for our 4/15/20 evening Service Above Self Awards Dinner including the “Pot Shot” fundraiser will continue with the hope that by 4/15/20 we may resume public meetings. Meanwhile, please consider “virtual meetings” for committees and activities working groups. John Trone is an excellent resource for setting up virtual meetings, and you should not hesitate to contact John if you need assistance. If you plan a “virtual meeting” please be sure you have prepared a meeting agenda and meeting goals you intend to achieve.
For committee chairs and activity leaders: 1) look at least two weeks ahead to your scheduled meetings and events and be sure all speakers and stakeholders and resource providers have been notified of cancelations, and 2) by way of a reminder, this is a good time to work on your budgets for next year, FY 2020-2021. The deadline for budget submission is April 1, 2020. Budgets may be sent to Del Benson or Kathy Hawkins or me by email.
