Wednesday, August 11th,  at noon at the Lincoln Center, Rotary Club of Fort Collins will feature Darin Atteberry, the City Manager for the City of Fort Collins, and our Mayor, Jeni Arndt.  Darin, who recently announced his resignation effective later this month, has held this position since December 2004.
. Prior to that, Darin served as the Fort Collins Assistant City Manager for more than 8 years. Jeni Arndt, who served three terms as a Representative in the Colorado legislature, was elected as Mayor last April. Our guests can be expected to address the past and future of COVID response, housing issues, and transition issues facing the City now.

As City Manager, Darin has led the City government through a time of transformational change, converting the organization to one that uses a data-driven, performance based approach. He has been an advocate for community collaboration and has built strong relationships with both public and private sector partners. In 2016 he was elected as a Fellow with the National Academy of Public Administration, chartered by Congress to serve federal, state, and local governments.

Prior to coming to Fort Collins, Darin worked with cities in California, Washington, and Georgia. He attended Harvard University in 2000, completing the Senior Executive Program in State and Local Government. He received his Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of City Planning at Georgia Institute of Technology in 1991. In 1989, he received a Bachelor of Science from California Polytechnic State University.

Darin, his wife, Deborah, and their four children enjoy living in Fort Collins and are active in several community and school activities.

Jeni graduated from Poudre High School. She received her bachelor's degree in sociology from Colorado College, her M.A. in geography from the University of Colorado, her M.A. in special education from Purdue University, and her Ph.D. in literacy from Purdue. She has completed M.B.A. coursework at Colorado State University.
