We had a terrific meeting on Wednesday on Zoom with 17 members and one special guest attending. Certainly not an outstanding attendance with 8 apologies and 22 undecideds, but we had some fun.

It was good to hear how each member was getting on with Lockdown 6.0 and also during the Sergeants session, what were our happy moments for the week. Sergeant Andrew Somers has been doing some research on Rotary and has discovered Happy Bucks! Nice work there Andrew, there is a lot to learn about Rotary and you are the man to push a few boundaries. It wasn't quite group therapy, but it did allow us all to share our experiences.

Bruce Shaw cleaned up the long-running Jokers Wild draw which was very exciting.....for Bruce. Jokers officinardo Graham Johnstone preempted the win by declaring he had purchased a new set of cards "just in case". Now there is no reason to come to Rotary.....only joking! Bruce reckons he will shout the bar when we can meet in person. It looks like Gus was counting on winning the scoop...

Our guest speaker was David Anderson who spoke about creating a  "Rotary Elevator Pitch". 30 seconds of why we are in Rotary and what Rotary might offer to others. David did a great job delivering the concept and the reason behind it, which is to grow our Club. COVID has set everything on the backburner, so let's put the downtime to good use. Create your own Rotary Elevator Pitch worthy to win a prize, present it at a meeting and let the judges decide.

Good Luck!
