Now that the recent Multi-District Conference is over,  PEN David Button advised that he will be able to return to his normal secretarial role.

David then reported that the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) is open for registrations for the 2020 program.  Although we will be inviting local secondary schools to put forward their best Year 11 students to participate, he invited nominations from the Club members.

The NYSF Year 12 Program is a 12-day residential program designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to encourage continued studies in these fields.

The standard fee to attend the program in 2020 is $3,150. This fee is all-inclusive, covering the participant’s travel to and from the program from one of our designated ports around Australia, as well as all meals, accommodation, transport during the program and any entry fees.

Registration must be conducted directly on the NYSF web site at www.nysf.edu.au.

The Club can sponsor one student, which may also include some financial support.
