As mentioned in last week’s bulletin, Nossal High School was ‘leading the pack’ in terms of donations to this year’s Rotary Berwick & District Benevolent Society's ‘Christmas Appeal’.

Not only did they fill their collection cage in record time initially, but within two weeks of it being emptied they have filled it with donations again.  This makes the school a clear winner in this year’s collection for the ‘Christmas Appeal’.

In fact, PDG  Mark Humphries, who is the ICT Services Manager at the school, suggested leaving the collection cage for a few more weeks to be filled with more donations for a third time.

Unfortunately, due to a shortage of cages, it had to be removed and re-located to Berwick Market Square Shopping Centre (Outside Woolworths Supermarket), to enable members of the public to donate there until Christmas.

Trevor Watson and I collected the donations on Wednesday morning and delivered them to Casey North Community Information Support Service (CNCISS) in Narre Warren.

Thanks to Nossal High School for their exceptional generosity to this year’s Appeal.

Many local families in need will have a happier Christmas, because of these donations.
