GOLF DAY SUMMARY from Chairman PP Jim Armstrong – 16.03.2018What a fantastic day for golf last Friday. Thanks to PP Gus, our contact at the Bureau of Meteorology, for the perfect weather conditions that prevailed throughout the day. Thanks also to my wonderful team of workers including all those from our Club who helped on the day, donated prizes and sold raffle tickets.
In fact, I sincerely thank all those who have emailed or phoned to say how much they enjoyed the day.
Events such as these bring us all together.
Our first all women team “The Par_Tee Girls” added some colour which our Master of Ceremonies Adrian Froggatt
attempted to emulate with his golfing joke.
Kay Morland made a wonderful speech without talking, she lost her voice so David Nutter was on hand to read out what she had to say. Also, without talking, our Club showed how much can be done for our community with actions.
Thanks to the Rotary Club of Berwick for the support and encouragement to me and the committee since I took over as Chair of the Committee following Mick’s tragic passing.
