Monday, September 29, 2014,

Maud Abrams 3rd Grade students attended an assembly to meet local Rotarians and receive a special gift.  Over 200 students attended the assembly and were introduced to some of the Lower Township Rotary Club members.  The Principal explained  to the students the Lower Township Rotary Club was a community service organization and members volunteered their time and effort to help the community.

Rotarian. Jack Kammer talked to the students about the importance of a dictionary.  He told them a dictionary was a tool for them to use and it would  help them learn how to spell, learn the meaning of words and help them construct sentences.  He then announced that each student present would receive their own dictionary to take home and keep.  Students then eagerly waited for their turn to come to the front and  receive their dictionary from the Rotarians.
