Service Project-American Red Cross Sound the Alarm

The Rotary Club of Scottsbluff/Gering is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a Sound the Alarm event, where will be installing smoke dectors in the Scottsbluff/Gering area. There are two shifts of volunteers needed.

First on Friday, August 26th, we will be re-canvasing the two areas (one in Scottsbluff and one in Gering) hanging door hangers, reminding them of the event on Saturday. This will start at 3 p.m., and take approximately 2-3 hours.

Then, on Saturday, August 27th, we will begin with a brief training at 10 a.m., then we will be testing, educating and installating the smoke detectors. 

You will be accompanied by other trained individuals (from the American Red Cross) or Scottsbluff or Gering Fire Departments.
