Arlington Sunrise Rotary Scholarship

The scholarship committee is made up of the following individuals; Tricia Askew, Rob Asplet, Dale Doak, James Watson, Stephanie Gillespie, Stan Moore, Dave Swaringin and Chip May. Arlington Sunrise through our flag program provides five (5) fifteen hundred dollars ($1500.00) scholarships to high school seniors one to each of the following high schools in our flag service areas: Arlington High, Lamar High, Martin and Summit High. For several years we have provided an at large scholarship through Stephanie Gillespie. Each committee member is assigned a high school for liaison to work and coordination, promotion and ultimate scholarship delivery during the schools award banquet. Through hard work two years ago by Tricia Askew any student choosing to attended TCC will have the opportunity to have the 2nd year at TCC matched by the TCC Foundation of an additional fifteen hundred dollars. TCC Foundation rules apply. The application can be found on the Arlington Sunrise Rotary public web site and the internal club runner. If you know of a high school senior from one of the high schools please provide them with an application. The application must be postmarked by Wednesday March 2, 2010. The scholarship committee will meet to review all application and through majority vote decide on our candidates. The scholarship will also welcome any direct contribution to increase our scholarship numbers with a dedicated gift, noting in the memo for scholarships.
