A graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Dr. Anderson is board-certified in both Neurology and Vascular Neurology. He completed his Neurology Residency as well as a Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of Arizona.
 
Prior to joining Carondelet Neurological Institute, Dr. Anderson held an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at the University of Arizona, where he was a Co-Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Team and a neurosonologist in the Vascular Lab. He has been a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in numerous clinical research trials involving both the acute treatment and prevention of stroke.
 
Dr. Anderson has been board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2000, and recently was recertified in 2010. He received his Vascular Neurology board certification in 2009. He is a professional member of both the American Academy of Neurology and the American Stroke Association.
 
Dr. Anderson is currently in private practice with Western Neurosurgery, Ltd. He remains active as a neurosonologist interpreting transcranial Doppler studies at the Carondelet Neurological Institute where he is also the Director of Vascular Neurology. He is a member of the Brain Attack Team helping lead the Carondelet Neurological Institute in obtaining Primary Stroke Center certification/recertification as well as providing telestroke coverage to Southern Arizona. He practices both vascular and general neurology.
