Susan Hyatt Dumon ~ Biography
 
Susan Hyatt Dumon has more than 15 years of experience in economic development working at the state, regional, and local levels. Susan joined Sun Corridor Inc. in June 2017 as Vice President of Economic Development and, in July 2022, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Economic Competitiveness.
 
In this new role, Susan will lead efforts to identify issues and develop strategies to improve economic competitiveness in the region. Susan will also continue to provide site selection assistance and market analysis for companies considering expansion or relocation opportunities in metro Tucson and Southern Arizona.
 
Previously, Susan served as the Vice President of Business Expansion for the Arizona Commerce Authority in Tucson. In this role, Susan worked with existing Arizona companies to help them grow their presence in the state. Prior to moving to Tucson, Susan spent ten years at the City of Phoenix leading economic development programs and projects.
 
Susan has worked in most facets of economic development, including, business attraction and marketing, business retention and expansion, workforce development, and redevelopment and reuse. Several notable companies Susan assisted through either attraction or expansion efforts include, Texas Instruments, Raytheon, Leonardo, TuSimple, Bombardier, W.L. Gore, Charles Schwab, LabCorp, Dunn-Edwards Paints, Mass Mutual, and WebPT. Susan has assisted companies that have created more than 25,000 jobs and more than $1.5 billion in capital investment in Arizona.
 
Susan received her B.A. from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York. Susan is an alumna of the National Urban Fellows Program, a national public sector leadership program.
