The Star Spangled Banner was sung to us on video to begin the meeting followed by an inspiring story of an 11 year girl who brings happiness to people in retirement communities. It was surprising to see how many people really just need a Vienna sausage to be happy!!

We enjoyed a full, yet socially distanced meeting room with great fellowship as always.

Our speaker, former Rotary Club of Tucson member Kimberly Ely, was introduced by VICKIE JACOBS. Kimberly is the Development Director for the San Xavier Mission. She offered a great presentation highlighting some of the ongoing projects they are working on to include restoring artwork and doors. The Mission has a great team of conservationists that are skilled in the trades. San Xavier Mission is the only surviving mission in Arizona and is currently open from 9am to 12 noon daily. No official tours are offered at the moment. The Mission does not receive ongoing Federal or money from the church.

Happy Birthday to JERRY SULLIVAN! President JENNIFER reminded us that JERRY is a “punny” guy. JERRY shared a story from his latest visit to the doctor. He’s having memory issues. The doctor found that in his brain, on the Left Side, there’s nothing right and on the Right Side, there’s nothing left. Good luck JERRY!

HUGH THOMPSON offered a really great memorial for DICK KINKADE who passed away in May. JOE DANISZEWSKI reminded us to visit TUCSONCLASSICSCARSHOW.com for updates on the car show and to sell tickets.

PRESIDENT JENNIFER ended the meeting with a nice toast. See y’all at the next meeting!
