In case you missed the letter of sincere gratitude from Jim Lubinski:

On behalf of Karen and myself, I want to express our sincere gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of support, prayers and love expressed by so many of you over the death of our daughter Nicole.  Between the emails, calls, texts, cards, visits and meals there are too many to thank individually so please accept this token of our appreciation.

Nicole was a beautiful, talented yet very troubled 26 year old young woman.  She suffered from bipolar disorder and depression since her early teens.  Mental illness is real and is often very treatable.  She sought and was provided help for over 10 years, but unfortunately her burdens just became too much for her to bear.  We loved her dearly and will miss her.  Our hope is that by being open about this it may help someone else in the future.

We have not as of yet finalized plans for her memorial.  It will likely be a small private service for immediate family and close friends.  We will identify a cause you can donate to, if you wish, in her memory.  Nicole loved nature, the environment and animals, especially eagles.  It is likely we will choose a cause from one of these areas that will honor her legacy.  Details will be provided when finalized.

At this point I plan to attend our regular club meeting on 1/2/19 and look forward to seeing many of you there.  There are no magic words to make this go away, but just expressing your condolences and sympathy is helpful.  The Rotary Club of Tucson family has once again shown its colors as a truly remarkable and caring club.  Happy New Year to all and I look forward to working with you to continue the good work our remarkable club does in 2019 and beyond.

With sincere gratitude,

Jim Lubinski
