Heartland PETS: President Elect Training Seminar

After much discussion and deliberation, the Heartland PETS committee has made the decision that the 2020 Heartland PETS scheduled for March 26-28^th in Wichita, KS will not be held.

 

This decision was based on consideration of the rapidly changing situation involving the COVID- 19 virus; COVID-19 related Federal, state and local actions, requirements and guidelines; and, most importantly, the Committee’s desire to consider and respect the safety and health of our over 100 participants as well as their families and the multitude of communities from which they come.

 

Your District Governor-elect will be in contact with you concerning alternate training expectations for your position. Please be reminded that attendance at PETS is a requirement for all Presidents-elect, so the Presidents-elect will be expected to attend/participate in all PETS alternate training event(s) that will be provided.

 

If you registered and paid directly, your refunds will be processed early next week and you should expect that to be completed by the end of the week. Note that for Heartland PETS member district’s Presidents Elect, your registration was included in your district dues and each district’s leadership team will determine the best way to handle those funds.

 

Also, a reminder for those who made individual hotel reservations at the Marriott: these must be cancelled at least 48 hours prior to what would have been your scheduled arrival date in order in order to not be charged for the room.
