Ride to End Polio

Take part in the "Rotary Ride to End Polio" during this year’s El Tour De Tucson and help Eradicate Polio. Rotary devotes the money we raise to the most promising polio research and innovative methods of immunization of our time and we are always making progress.

Poliomyelitis (Polio) is a highly infectious disease that most commonly affects children under the age of 5.  Most know it as poliovirus, or simply Polio.  The virus is spread person to person, typically through contaminated water. It attacks the nervous system, and in some instances, leads to paralysis and a lifetime of debilitating deformities. Although there is no cure, there is a safe and effective vaccine – one which Rotary and our partners use to immunize millions of children worldwide.
