Updates:

 

Polio Plus: The district is asking that each member donates $26.50.  There will hopefully be a link on our website soon and we will also accept checks.  Donations are needed by October 15th.

 

Foundation: We are donating $1,000 to the district water project led by David Legg in Nairobi.  Depositing $747.42 from the clambake proceeds.

 

Dues:  Invoices went out, please make Ken's job easier by paying them so he's not chasing anyone around.

 

Food Drive: Will be at Shop Rite in West Long Branch 11/19 &20 and 12/10 &11

 

Food Donation Boxes: At Kearney Bank and Investors, Luciana will pick up food and deliver to Holy Trinity Church.

 

Stop Hunger Now: November 5th is the food packing event.  Need as many volunteers as we can get from 9a-11a and again 1130a-130p.  Anyone 4 and up can come help and don't have to be Rotarians.  Sign up link is here.  Our club is donating funds but we also need more to purchase the food.  Donations can be made on the link above. Gordon and Barb will be attending a meeting on the 21st and will have more info then.

 

Rotary Leadership Institute: 10/8 at Cumberland County College in Vineland.  Is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Rotary especially for incoming  leaders.

 

Ken Scaggs from Red Bank gave a quick overview of the Monmouth County Rotary Evening Club.  There will be an introductory meeting next Thursday, September 22nd. From there out, the club will meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Any questions can be sent to mcercnj@gmail.com.  The brochure is attached.
