This fast-paced session will introduce a few core concepts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion and provide a launching point for further reflection. Attendees will be exposed to research-backed principles speaking to the terms and the value of inclusivity for building resilience.

Concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to personal, professional, and organizational success. This focused session will provide a basis for understanding these emerging critical success factors as well as thoughts about how to pave paths in your various spheres of influence and ideas for leveraging inclusivity to strengthen the Rotarian experience.

About Melanie:
Melanie Schmidt is a creative strategist who facilitates progress for leaders interested in moving beyond business as usual. She brings nearly 30 of experience working with organizations across sector, size, and life span. She founded Timpano Group in 2003 to leverage a unique blend of talents that advance sustainable transformation in aligning strategy, systems, people, and process. Melanie has earned a master’s degree in Organizational Development, a bachelor’s degree in English, and a Lean Six Sigma green belt. She infuses energy and focus into projects and inspires people to take action on their ideas. Those with whom and for whom she has worked praise her candor and her ability to discern core issues, organize information quickly, build rapport, and make things happen.
