For just the cost of a cup of coffee per week, you can become a Centurion and support our Rotary Foundation in our Centenary year.

Why not challenge all of your members to donate A$100 so that your club qualifies as a 'Centurion Club'. Read on to find out how.

In the Centenary year of Rotary in Australia, we are calling for all Rotarians in District 9800 to become a Centurion – by donating AUD100 to The Rotary Foundation ideally every year.

For less than a cup of coffee a week, AUD100 will make a huge difference to our community and your donation will have a massive impact that will Do Good in the World.

Why should you donate to The Rotary Foundation?

  • It is our charity – your money is spent by Rotarians on Rotary projects here and around the world.
  • If your donation is to the Annual Fund, 50% of that comes back to District 9800 for clubs (including yours) to access for Rotary projects.
  • At around 9%, The Rotary Foundation has one of the lowest administration costs of any charity. It is not uncommon for other charities to have 30% or higher administration costs. Donating to The Rotary Foundation means a bigger bang for your buck.
  • Donations to The Rotary Foundation are tax deductible so you can stretch your dollar even further – your cup of coffee definitely can’t do that!
  • Most importantly, you are helping Rotarians here and around the world to make our communities a better place.

The Centurion Club Challenge

In this Rotary year, if all members of your club gave $A100 (or more) to the Foundation, your club will be recognised by the District Foundation Committee as a Centurion Club. Your club will also be in the running to win a bottle of wine and, of course, bragging rights. Dressing up as a Centurion is optional!

Donate direct to the Foundation here: https://my.rotary.org/en/donate. The default option is the “Annual Fund” which is recommended but you can also donate to specific areas such as the Polio Fund. By selecting your country as “Australia” and currency as “Australian Dollar”, a tax receipt will be issued to you by the Foundation. Select One-time or Recurring donation as you wish and any amount $A100 or more qualifies you as a Centurion. The next step is to SIGN IN, this ensures your donation is credited to your Rotary membership number and your tax receipt will go to your email address. If you have any questions about his, please email Gabe Hau or Amrit Singh,
