There was no shortage of free food to celebrate Australia Day and thank our First Responders.

Our Rotary Club's Australia Day celebrations at Victoria Park Kew were to publicly acknowledge the wonderful contribution that our First Responders have made over the past 2 years of the COVID pandemic. And it was so great that they joined us throughout the day's activities.

The day commenced with a Welcome to Country and a Smoking Ceremony performed by Alex.

Thanks to the National Australia Day Council, we were able to provide free food and drinks to all who joined us for this special Australia Day event. 'Sikh Volunteers Australia' and 'Spitting Image' were engaged to cater for the day and certainly provided some beautiful food. It was noticed that quite a few went back for seconds which was great sign. We even provided some scrumptious lamingtons for the sweet tooths.  We were entertained by Greg Champion from the Coodabeen Champions,  as well as face painting for those who wished to indulge.
