Update 4/13/2020: District Clubs have jumped onto this opportunity to help their communities!  At this time, all funds have been committed.  Thank you D7930 for your commitment to serving!

I would like to share with you some great news from District 7930 and the Rotary Foundation!

The Rotary Foundation recently gave districts more flexibility in using DDF money. Clubs who are grant qualified have access to apply for a District grant up to $6,000 per grant (50% Club/50% District) to be used for COVID 19 FOOD RELIEF. There are ONLY 25 clubs who qualified this year and each of those clubs/members received a separate email from me. Qualified clubs need to submit grants by May 1 and complete the project by June 1. Grants will be approved on a first come, first serve basis until the $19,000 is depleted.

You can find the Grant application here: https://grant.clubrunner.ca/50227/Grant/NewRequest.

In addition, any monies that you haven't spent in your current district grant can be repurposed for a Covid-19 response.

Global Grants are also an excellent way to respond effectively to Covid-19. For example, if your community needs medical equipment, global grants offer a way to pay for these expensive items. The Rotary Foundation is expediting any applications for these types of Covid-19-related projects. The Trustees are waiving the 30% financing from outside of the country where the project takes place for Covid-19 projects. You will still need an international partner for these Global Grants and the terms and conditions for Global Grants still apply. This will greatly expedite the speed at which these grants can be developed.
