It was only seven years ago that the Rotary Club of Burlington celebrated its 50th year of service to our community:  the Club erected a new fountain and seating area on the Burlington Town Common for all to enjoy. Our Club assists in coaching, funding and supporting the activities of the Burlington Pride Special Olympic softball and basketball teams.

For over 30 years the Rotary Club of Burlington has supported Burlington High School students by donating scholarships in excess of $500,000. Many of these very same students actively participate in the Burlington Rotary Club’s Interact Club, which helps to organize and educate high school students to the Rotary Ideals of Service Above Self.  The Club assists the Burlington Food Pantry by purchasing and delivering fresh produce on a monthly basis, as well as making a quarterly trip to the Food Bank in Boston picking up thousands of pounds of food for the many needy families in the town of Burlington. The Club sponsors an annual Valentine’s Senior Citizen Dance, providing both dinner and entertainment to more than two hundred seniors.  The Club spends thousands of dollars on our World Peace and Understanding Bookcase that is in the Burlington High School Library, our Dictionary project that provides each third grader in our town with their first dictionary, and many various smaller but no less important charities all year long.

Maybe your son, daughter or grandchild was the recipient of a Rotary Scholarship or perhaps your parents attend the Senior Dance.   Perhaps your organization approached the Rotary Club of Burlington for a donation.   You can help the Club to raise the funds for these wonderful activities by participating in “Friday Night at the Fights.”
