The Rotary Club of Rockport hosted its Annual Valentine's Day Luncheon for the Senior Citizens of Rockport on Valentine's Day, February 14, at The Fish Shack Restaurant in Rockport. Approximately 90 seniors attended the event.

A delicious baked haddock dinner and dessert were provided by restaurant owners Karen and Ken Porter, and family. Tuck's Candy Factory at Dock Square provided beautiful chocolate treats for each participant. Gretchen Anderson of the Rockport Garden Club assembled ribboned long-stemmed carnations which were given out to the guests. Valentine's Day cards, created by four of Rockport Elementary School Art Teacher Simon Paddock's classes, were given to each participant. Two Rockport High School instrumentalists, Clara Mazo on the violin, and Jace Mason on the cello, played to an appreciative audience.

Twenty-Five Rotary club members helped with setting up, serving and cleaning after the event. They also provided transportation to and from the luncheon for those guests that were not able to drive and have no one to drive them. One participant wrote, "Everyone treated us royally. The meal was delicious and the good people around to help us made the day very special.
