1. On October 2nd, Peabody celebrated its 100th birthday as a city with one of the largest parades in recent memory. Peabody Rotarians entered a float featuring many of the projects the club and RI has worked on, including actual running water. The float was designed by and the work overseen by member Stephanie Johnson, who was also preparing to go to Cebu City the following week. Depicted on the float were our District Managed Grant project of cleaning Farnham Park and providing handicapped accessible playground equipment, clean water, scholarships, Polar Plunge, cleft palate missions, hunger and homelessness initiative, the Rotary wheel and the 4-Way Test. Most club members, too numerous to list here, worked on the float over a two week period.
