The Rotary Club of Topsfield, Boxford, and Middleton has supported the important work being done at Windrush Farm therapeutic riding center, but Rotarian Bob heard about Horsemanship for Heroes, he knew it was something that other Rotary clubs would want to support.

The H4H program at Windrush helps veterans with challenges, including head and spinal cord injuries, amputation, auditory and visual impairments, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Benefits to the veterans include normalized muscle tone, increased range of motion, greater confidence and self-esteem, increased strengthen and better coordination of fine and gross motor skills, improved patience and emotional control, and increased concentration and self-awareness.

In addition to therapeutic riding, there are un-mounted activities and volunteer opportunities working with horses that are also available to veterans.

If you would like to join the TBM club in supporting this important program, please email Dan Weir or call him at 978-766-7473.
