The District 7930 Homelessness and Hunger Initiative Committee has announced a District-wide Mini Grant for this fall. The grant is intended to provide diapers to our homeless and hungry throughout the District. While there are limited funds available, this will provide a desperately need item to our shelters and pantries at a time of the year when the average citizen is not thinking of helping out.

The way the grant will work is as follows:
  1. Club contacts non-profit and discusses potential of the grant.
  2. Club gets signed agreement from the non-profit that they will purchase diapers with the $500 grant and are able to do so at reduced prices.
  3. Club sends copy of signed agreement to the District Treasurer at email address below.
  4. District Treasurer/HHI Chair approves, writes check, sends check to Club made out to non-profit.
  5. Club takes District check for $250 and matching Club check for $250 to non-profit as a grant.

Clubs interested in this mini-grant should work on this project now as the Grant opportunity will expire on October 28, 2016. There are 10 grants available at this time so it is first come, first served.
