The Cambridge Rotary Club invites you to support local charities and showcase your artwork by participating in the virtual "Chalk on Your Walk" event. Due to COVID, the annual "Chalk on the Walk" fundraiser in Harvard Square was cancelled. However, the groups served by the Cambridge Rotary need help more than ever!The event will showcase artwork by artists and children online. Not only will this support many local charities, it will be a great way to document this unusual time through art.
There are two special categories in addition to first, second and third place: "Pandemic Portrayal" for 12 and above and "Through a Child’s Eyes" for children 12 and under. Parents can sponsor their children's entries for $20 (higher amount also welcome) as a contribution to our many good works.
When: Artists and families can submit a photo of painting (can be on paper or chalk painting on your driveway), photo, or textile created this year during the month of October. Artists creations will be displayed on our website and social media between October 15 - 31 and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 entries with the most "likes" on our Facebook page.
