This is the only session offered in FRENCH this year and, due to COVID-19 conditions, will be held virtually.  The link for the 10am session is:  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82653331590

This is the full 2.5+ hour training for anyone who has never attended a seminar before or not   an in-person training within the last 2 years.

If you cannot attend this session, you will need to attend an in-person training following a quarterly Foundation/International Service meeting on one of the following dates:

  • Saturday, December 5th at 1pm
  • Saturday, March 13th at 1pm

These are presented in English.

If you attended in-person between August 24, 2019 and December 7, 2019, you may qualify in a 2-step method – all online – for 2021-2022 Grants:

  • Go to the Learning Center at www.rotaryinternational.org. Enroll in the 9-module course Grants Management Seminar.  Our District Rotary Foundation Chair (PDGBonnie) receives a weekly report from RI noting who has COMPLETED all 9 modules; there is no need to send her your certificate from each module.  Please complete all 9 modules prior to October 31st.
  • You will be required to attend an online Zoom meeting on Saturday, November 14th at 9am to complete the qualification training for this year’s seminar.  The link will be sent after review of the Learning Center report the first week in November to all who are eligible for this method of qualifying furing Rotary year 2020-21.

If you completed all 9 Modules of the Grants Management Seminar in the Learning Center prior to April 30, 2020 AND attended the online LIVE training in April 2020, then you can either take the:

In-Person training following a quarterly Foundation/International Service meeting in August, December or March or the one in the Montreal area on November 7th at 10am (sessions are offered in French and English).

Three online courses in the Learning CenterGrant Management Recertification ID: E-08WLDV, Advising Planners of Rotary Grants  ID: E-VZORE1 as well as Protecting Personal Data  ID: E-Z1G581 prior to October 24th then attending an online session for review on Saturday, November 14th at Noon.

For ALL Primary Contact persons & Project Leads on current or proposed Global Grants, there is a new requirement for qualification.  The online session in the Learning Center  which is coming soon on the Foundation C A D R E. We will update all when it becomes available.

Qualification will be the same as last year:

  1. To ensure that clubs are kept current on Foundation procedures, District 7040 will require that any club considering a GLOBAL GRANT will have the sitting club President, and two (2) of the following annually attend a District 7040 Grant Management Seminar: President-elect, Treasurer (Club or project), Foundation or International Service Committee Chairs or the Project Lead.  The exception will be for the Treasurer, if he/she has attended the two (2) preceding years’ qualification sessions.  In a club with a 2-year presidency as part of their 2019 revised By-Laws, the training will be required in the President-Elect year and the first year of his/her Presidency, but not required in the final year in which he/she is President.
  2. If a club is considering ONLY a DISTRICT Simplified or DISTRICT Matching Grant, only two (2) of the following will need to attend a District 7040 Grants Management Seminar: sitting President, President-Elect (if not the sitting President), Treasurer (Club or Project), Community Service Chair, Foundation Chair, International Service Chair.
