Thank you to everyone who joined us for our inaugural Zone Online Summit last week. We had over 1,600 Rotarians from our two Zones register for the 3-day series and received a great deal of positive feedback on both the quality of the program and the presenters. Our post-summit survey also indicated that the virtual format was well-received, and brought new Rotary ideas into our homes during a time when gathering in person is simply not possible.
To that end, I am pleased that we have developed a new series of virtual events, “Director Dialogues.” Special guests from throughout the Rotary world will join me each month to cover a wide range of topics of interest to all Rotarians.
Our first Director Dialogue is scheduled for November 12th at 7:00 PM (Eastern)/4:00 (Pacific) when our guest is Past Rotary International President Ian Riseley. Ian and I will talk about supporting the environment, which was recently added to the Rotary Foundation’s areas of focus. You may remember that Past President Ian challenged Rotarians to each plant a tree during 2017-18, the year he served as our President.
