What did your Rotary Club do on October 24, 2017, to tell the world that Polio is being eradicated and that Rotary is leading the way? There were many ways that brought attention of Rotary’s fight to end Polio worldwide : World Polio Day, October 24 was being proclaimed in  communities throughout our District by City, Town and Regional Councils; fliers at TTC and Go station locations; the End Polio Now or Rotary flag flew high at City Hall in Toronto and in many towns and cities on October 24; walks occurred in local communities to show Rotary's support. And there were radio and TV spots throughout the day in the Toronto market.   Here are some of the highlights that were submitted......

Oshawa Rotarian and Mayor of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada,  John Henry presented World Polio Day Proclamations to Oshawa Rotary Club President Ron Dick and to Ted Morrison, President of the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood, at the noon hour meeting of the Oshawa Rotary Club on October 23, 2017. The Proclamations recognize October 24 as World Polio Day in The City of Oshawa, Ontario, and applauding the efforts of the two Rotary Clubs here in the City along with the 35, 000 Rotary Clubs worldwide who are immunizing children world wide, helping to eradicate this disease forever.
