The global pandemic put a pause on the Rotary Youth Exchange program. Rotary International has confirmed that districts may resume sending and hosting students as of July, 2022. The District Rotary Youth Exchange Committee is seeking support from our District's Rotary Clubs to select an Outbound Student in the Fall, 2021 and host an Inbound Student for the 2022-2023 school year.
Our District has successfully supported Outbound and Inbound Students for numerous years. Students' participation in the program provides them with an opportunity to attend a secondary school, be hosted by a Rotary club, live with Host Families, experience a new culture, perhaps learn a new language, and make life-long friendships.
A ClubRunner Event request was sent to Club Presidents outlining timelines and requesting a commitment.
