JANUARY 2019 CONVENTION NEWS

We’re excited you’re joining us at the Rotary International Convention in Hamburg, Germany, 1-5 June. This issue of Convention News contains important program updates to help you plan your convention experience.
We have our first group of speakers!


From Monday through Wednesday, June 3 to 5, you can choose from nearly 100 breakout sessions on various topics. Here's a peek at the sessions being developed:
  • Strengthen your club — Learn strategies that will keep members engaged and inspire others to join the Rotary family.
  • Learn from experts — The Rotary Business School is back, offering in-depth presentations by executives and professional speakers.
  • Connect and take action — Meet Rotarians and Rotaractors who are tackling the world's biggest challenges, and learn how you can help.

Name change: The On to Honolulu Luncheon is now the Rotary Club Celebration Luncheon, June 5, 2019. Join us to honor our dynamic clubs — from the iconic ones that have defined Rotary to those that are pioneering the Rotary experience of the future. If you have already bought tickets for the Honolulu luncheon, they will automatically be updated for the new event. To add the Rotary Club Celebration luncheon to your agenda, you can edit your existing registration. 

 

New this year: Hamburg’s public transportation system will be the main way to get around during the convention, and Rotary will offer attendees complimentary access with their convention badges. The Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV) has an extensive bus, rail, and ferry system, making it easy to travel throughout the area. Hamburg is also a city where it is very easy to walk. Please note: There is no shuttle service from hotels to the Hamburg Messe.
