Dear Fellow Rotarians,
The District is looking for 3 volunteer members to serve on the Finance and Audit Committee. We are looking for Rotarians who are able to commit to four meetings per year and have the ability to read and understand financial statements including a balance sheet, an income statement and a cash flow statement.
The Finance and Audit committee responsibilities include:
Overseeing the financial reporting processes and controls of the Corporation;
Recommending the appointment of the accountant;
Reviewing the financial statements and operating plan, operating reports and the annual operating budget;
Ensuring compliance with regulatory, accounting requirements;
Reviewing operating risks; and
Safeguarding the assets of the Corporation by reviewing and studying the amounts per capita levy and necessary expenses of administration.
Rotarians with a professional accounting designation or related financial expertise are encouraged to apply.
