He touched on President Shekhar's challenge to serve to change lives, and invited us to join him on Tuesday Talks and at the May 2022 District Conference............

Hello District 7070 Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and Earlyactors!

We made it!  An entire Rotary Year of meeting by Zoom, Go To Meeting and Microsoft Teams!  On July 1st, 2021 we are kicking off a new Rotary Year and exciting times as the vaccines seem to be winning against the variants and we may be able to meet in person before the end of this calendar year!

It is my honour to serve as your District Governor in 7070, the best District in the Rotary World!

Our District Leadership team is here to serve our 1900+ Rotarians in 55 Rotary Clubs, 10 Rotaract Clubs and many Interact Clubs that span from the west at the Etobicoke-Mississauga border, north to Alliston across to Newmarket & Uxbridge  and off to the east to Belleville and Prince Edward County.

A heartfelt thank you to our 2020-2021 Club Presidents working with Past District Governor, Mark Chipman and the District Leadership team, for their connectivity and leadership under the constraints of the Global Covid Pandemic.

Our experiences to stay connected during the pandemic have taught us new ways as in the words of Past RI President, Holger Knaack, “We need to remember what we’ve learned this year as we move forward.”

We’ve been able to visit with Rotarian friends across the District, across the country and from around the world!

Our new RI President, Shekhar Mehta, has challenged us to Serve to Change Lives, to increase our Global Rotary Membership to $1.3M by July 1st, 2022, to conduct a Rotary Day of Service including 25% participation by non-Rotary members of your community and empower the lives of young girls.
