Congratulations to the Rotary Clubs of Scarborough, Agincourt, Scarborough Twilight, Toronto East, and Uxbridge contributed to Native Child and Family Services of Toronto - Scarborough branch (NCaFSoT-SB) for their Bimose-Makwa (Walking Bear) after school program. Here is the rest of the story how Rotary Clubs in District 7070 really are "People of Action" and when they come together, they do "Make A Difference" .....

(NCaFSoT-SB) for their Bimose-Makwa (Walking Bear) after school program. A Rotary District Grant added to the clubs donations so that a cheque for $10,000 was presented on December 13 to the Native Child and Family Five Rotary Clubs in District 7070 collaborated to donate funds to Native Child and Family Services of Toronto - Scarborough branchcentre. This Program gives children ages 6 to 12 years access to Cultural Teachings, Arts and Crafts, and Traditional Foods, plus Sharing Circles, Traditional Ceremonies and Rites of Passage. If these aspects of their culture are not taught to the children, there is a danger that they will be lost to future generations. The Rotary Clubs of Scarborough, Agincourt, Scarborough Twilight, Toronto East, and Uxbridge contributed to this very worthwhile project. The children will develop pride in their identity, and become more confident and secure in their heritage.
