Join fellow Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and Earlyactors from all over District 7070, with friends and family on Sunday, September 30, 2018, for the annual District 7070 Rotary Foundation Walk in support of the Rotary Foundation. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon as you choose how to enjoy the renowned McMichael Art Gallery. Raise money for the Rotary Foundation. Here are the details.....

Join fellow Rotarians with friends and family on Sunday, September 30, 2018,  from 8:30 am to 1 pm for the annual District 7070 walk in support of the Rotary Foundation. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon as you choose how to enjoy the renowned McMichael Art Gallery.  The McMichael Gallery is the perfect gallery for a proper introduction to Canada’s art, its people, their cultures, and history. The McMichael Gallery’s permanent collection consists of nearly 6,000 pieces of art created by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, their contemporaries, and First Nations, Métis, Inuit and other artists who have contributed to the development of Canadian art. Choose inside and/or out. Explore the Sculpture Garden, a series of installations and outdoor sculptures, the Tom Thomson shack, as well as McMichael Cemetery where six Group of Seven members as gallery founders Robert and Signe McMichael have been laid to rest.

 

   

 

Join fellow Rotarians with friends and family on Sunday September 30, 2018 for the annual District 7070 walk in support of the Rotary Foundation.

Stroll past works of art in the gallery, sit, enjoy.  Or walk along the trails on the  beautiful grounds. This Foundation Walk will be called an experience.  An opportunity to engage, socialize, reflect, relax and share.   

Registration from 08:30 to 10:00 am
There will be structured 2km and 5km walks starting between 9:30 and 10:00 in collaboration with the Humber Valley Trail Association.

The gallery is available for your viewing pleasure following the walk.

Lunch and fellowship gathering 11:00 aonwards - It's a picnic - bring your lawn chair.

Note: Space is limited to 250 attendees due to venue capacity limitations.

Individual pledge forms can be downloaded by clicking on the pledge form link.  Please co-ordinate all club pledges with your club delegate for the foundation walk.  Clubs should submit one cheque per club directly to Rotary Foundation:
