Global Grant Scholarships fund graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years. The mission of the scholarship is to enable Rotary to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.  Applicants are encouraged to approach their local District 7070 Rotary Club to sponsor their application by February 28, 2018. Global Grant Scholarships fund graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years. The mission of the scholarship is to enable Rotary to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. Through global grants, Rotarians support future leaders in fields related to six areas of focus:

  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution

  • Disease prevention and treatment

  • Water and sanitation

  • Maternal and child health

  • Basic education and literacy

  • Economic and community development

Applicants must show a plan to pursue a career in an area of focus and have a long-term commitment to measurable, sustainable change in that area. 

Application Procedures:  Applicants are encouraged to approach their local District 7070 Rotary Club to sponsor their application. Any applicants without a sponsoring club can email Kevin Power or Ross Bowser for assistance.  All applicants shall complete and submit the District 7070 Global Grant Scholarship Application (which is located here on the District 7070 website) and submit the information required in the application by email to Kevin Power or Ross Bowser.

All applicants are to review the Area of Focus Policy Statements and the Grant Terms and Conditions (also located here on the District 7070 website). Please note that the scholarship is for University Graduate level study and that the school cannot be in the USA or Canada. 

Deadline: The deadline for applications for the 2018 grant is Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Interviews will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, by invitation.
