Tuesday Talks - Human Trafficking

Please join our speakers Janice MacDonald - Acting Staff Sergeant of Operationsand Danielle McKeen -  Detective Constable, both from the Cobourg Police Service,  for this very informative Tuesday Talks on Human Trafficking. They will provide a working definition of Human Trafficking, and show us Signs to look for, the "red flags" , including the basic stages of grooming and they will highlight common risk factors for victims.  They will discuss statistics both on a Provincial level as well as from a local perspective.  Criminal Code offences related to Human Trafficking and touch upon why there is a failure for victims to come forward and additionally some of the limitations from a policing perspective when it comes to bringing these matters before the court.
