We are now over halfway through the Rotary year.  I hope you are remembering The Rotary Foundation in your charitable giving this year.  Our current Annual Fund giving is at $110,000 and PolioPlus giving is at $28,000.  Although we are doing well compared to this time last year, I know there are still many Rotarians in our district who have not yet made a contribution.  Please consider getting your contribution in soon rather than later.  We know this is a significant part of being a Rotarian as The Rotary Foundation is the heart and soul of who we are.  Rotary Direct is easy to set up on My Rotary and allows you to set up your giving in a way that works for you, whether it is monthly, quarterly, bi-annually or annually.

Hopefully you are paying attention to the World Series of Giving competition we have going on in our district.  Things are heating up among the divisions the further into the game we get.  If you miss the emails with the monthly updates, they are also posted on the district website.

We are hoping to get more of our clubs to become Every Rotarian Every Year clubs.  When a club achieves this in any given year, they receive a banner from RI.  To be an EREY club, the average per capita needs to be at least $100 with every member contributing a minimum of $25.  Let’s make this a year when all of our clubs work toward this achievement.

The District’s new Strategic Plan has rolled out with identified Foundation goals and action plan items.  In general, we are hoping to increase our Annual Fund giving by 10% and our PolioPlus giving by 5%.  Keep that in mind as you are working with your club on establishing it’s giving goals.
