We are evaluating future events including the Grant Management Training on April 18, the April 24-25 District Conference and the May Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA)
It was decided to continue to hold the Foundation training events as they are regional and involve very small groups. You will receive continuing updates.
Let’s all keep in mind the Four Way Test and ask ourselves if our actions, including participation in Rotary events, will be “beneficial to all concerned”. Is it worth the risk of spreading this virulent virus and causing our friends and fellow Rotarians to become ill?
At this time it is unknown how long this crisis will persist. Some estimates suggest it could continue for 3 to 4 months. Around the world, Rotary Clubs and Districts are making difficult decisions about their planned activities including meetings. In D6420, some senior centers and hospitals have asked clubs not to meet in their space until further notice. We have inbound and outbound exchange students in countries with closed borders or trying to return to countries with closed borders.
We are encouraging our clubs to develop a plan. Consider meeting online using free services like Zoom or a similar platform. Please let me know your plan and if you need help implementing it.
